rtings.com says the TCL (S405 is aforementioned as S425) is very dim. Less than 200 nits which puts it even dimmer than the Samsung NU7100. The R6107 is 350 nits at its brightest I believe.

The 65" 4K Hisense is $689 in store. I was eyeing that.
The TCL 65" 4K HDR Roku Smart Telly on Walmart.ca is listed at $728

Aye it can be mounted. I got one for 499.99 during BF sales online and have it mounted on my tv stand right now. Great for the price, and with a $30 warranty out to 5 years information technology is a no brainer unless you desire loftier stop (which plainly you will pay a lot more for).

I accept a TCL S405 and can ostend it's quite dim. Luckily it'south in my basement, so not a huge deal. If I were to do it again, at this toll point, I'd become with HiSense.

I bought this recently to mount in my family room, and I must say, this is the almost impressive value TV I've e'er seen. The moving-picture show is outstanding, and paired with the 5 twelvemonth warranty for 29.99, this is hands the all-time value on a TV yous tin become atm. Fifty-fifty the audio isn't that bad. The born Roku is dainty also if you setup a Plex server for your files.

Go through the comments and then brand your own determination. Lots of people that are happy with this budget TV, just too many that warn against it. Some as well propose going TCL over this for the same price point.
For what it's worth, I went TCL S425 instead. Seems good so far. rtings has a review for it at least (https://world wide web.rtings.com/telly/reviews/tcl/s ... -s405-s425) which is a good representation of what you lot can look.

The S405 is being gradually replaced by the S425/423/421. Other than minor cosmetic differences, we don't expect there to be whatsoever difference between them. The model available may vary depending on your specific region and retailer.

I bought this Tv (65" version) last battle twenty-four hours so it's been nigh a yr, and I'd highly recommend it. You just can't beat it for the value. The picture quality is very good, not great, but no complaint for this price.
The Television speaker is surprisingly proficient, so I have stopped using the soundbar altogether.
My only complaint is HDR is hit or miss, some HDR contents from Netflix come out very bad (like extremely saturated)
But the SmartTV part of the Tv set is also very fast and y'all can besides control with the Roku app.

I bought this TV on BF, forth with the Vizio (forgot the model, but near $600 @ Costco). Returned the Vizio, kept this 1. Using mainly with HD Netflix (not UHD). Corking main-floor family room Goggle box, bright, nice everyday film, peachy Roku interface. Costco price and warranty make this a no brainer.
